What we do
CredibleNow publishes practical guides and analysis about working life. Most of what we write falls into six sections: job search, training and skills, career paths, the workplace, pay and benefits, and trends in how work is organised. The common thread is that every piece should leave you able to do something you could not do before you read it: write the email, ask for the number, choose the course, or decide to leave.
We write mainly for working adults in the United States, with the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia close behind. Where employment law or training systems differ between those countries, we say so rather than pretending one answer fits everyone.
What we are not
We are not a job board, a recruitment agency, a training provider or a lender. We do not sell courses, resume-writing services or coaching, and we do not accept payment to recommend any provider. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question, not buried in a policy.
Nothing here is individual legal, financial or medical advice. Employment rules vary by jurisdiction and change often. We do our best to be accurate and current, and we correct mistakes when readers point them out, but you should confirm the position that applies to you before acting on anything important. How we work
Articles are planned by an editor, drafted, then edited and fact-checked against primary sources such as government labour departments, statistical agencies, licensing bodies and published research. We avoid quoting invented experts or anonymous anecdotes; where we describe a scenario, it is a typical one, not a real person in disguise. Our editorial policy explains the process, including how we use research and drafting software and how corrections are handled.
How the site is funded
CredibleNow is free to read and carries no paywall. It is supported by display advertising, which is served through third-party advertising networks such as Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, and we do not write articles to promote advertisers. Our privacy policy explains what advertising cookies do and how to opt out of personalised ads.
